Responsible for the central purchasing function and supplier database / management of F&B category for the hotel chain which consists 11 hotels. Implemented purchasing strategies, systems & procedures and managed existing supplier database and proactively researched for new potential suppliers to ensure smooth/ effective functioning. Was in charge in Imported Food / Local food / Perishable / LP Gas and Fuel sourcing processes, which contained floating RFQ’s, proposal evaluations, compiling data and preparation of comparisons, sample arrangements, blind tasting process, researching market trends, fixing pricing based on price indexes, negotiations, vendor evaluations, impact calculations, contract awarding and presenting to the management. Identified, investigated and minimized or eliminated operational issues occurring from contracts daily/ weekly and monthly as required. Ensured all the approved orders are created and forwarded to the respective vendors, follow up all the pending orders with necessary actions and supplier payments are done on time for a smooth operation / timely delivery. Managed the local logistic operation from central warehouse to 8 destinations. Prepared and presented analytical reports on purchasing / vendor performance evaluations for management decision making through Power BI Reports. Handled and coordinated supplier hygiene audits, conducted awareness sessions to educate suppliers on audit finding and recommended improvements.
