Job Description
Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose:

 




This position reports directly to the property’s Director of Marketing and is responsible for providing administrative and technical support for the Marketing Department, as well as, assisting with the execution of the marketing plan.

Keys to Success:


Builds a close alignment with on-property marketing team, inclusive of the Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing.
Successfully executes the tactical elements of the marketing strategy.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects at once.     






 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

Tactical Marketing Execution Support


Branding & Positioning: Works with the DOSM and DOM in in the execution of all messaging, positioning and marketing strategies. Helps deliver content that meets brand standards.



Content & Assets: Leads the execution and updates for all internal/external marketing communications including but not limited to: Brand.com website, vanity website (where applicable), 3rd party websites, social media, imagery, and copy. Works with the DOSM to coordinate all on property marketing photo shoots.
Digital Marketing: Works with DOSM and DOM with the creation and execution of all digital marketing strategies, participating in agency calls. Works with DOM on digital direct reporting and analysis and owns the Koddi platform for the hotel (Amplify and Elevate funding/campaign management)
Social Media: If no social media agency is being leveraged, this role will be responsible for posting on and upkeep within social media channels, ensuring implementation of the established social media plan and calendar. If a social media agency is leveraged by the hotel, this role with assist the DOSM and DOM in ensuring all marketing assets are provided in a timely manner to the agency.
Reputation Management: Where required, this position may assist in posting/responding to reviews on social and review websites, including but not limited to TripAdvisor, Google+, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Creative Collateral/Content Support: Develops/updates small in-house marketing design projects (example: sales newsletters, sales fliers, on-property/in-room collateral, in-room TV content, etc)
Public Relations Support: Coordinates media visits, including itinerary confirmations, property tours, distribution of media kits, etc. 


 

Administrative Support


Works with marketing team to prioritize day-to-day activities that lead to the completion of wider projects and tasks.
Assists with processing invoices for marketing initiatives.
Assists with ancillary outlets (Example: restaurant, spa, etc) requests, including but not limited to, menu edits, in-restaurant collateral, and updates


 

 

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.


Attends weekly departmental meeting and other scheduled meetings to support business operations.
Assists with special projects assigned by hotel leadership.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required by management.
Maintains a good working relationship with other departments & employees.


 

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

 

Required:


Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently to interact with guests, costumers, and staff.
Strong computer and internet skills, including proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Proficient in CMS platforms
Multi-tasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines in a timely manner
Ability to execute with a 360-degree marketing approach and proficient with social media tools, technology, and techniques
 


Preferred:


Proficient in graphic design and with Adobe Photoshop


 

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

 

Education:

 


High School Diploma Required
Two or four year college degree preferred.

Emphasis in marketing and/or public relations preferred




 

Experience:

 


No prior work experience required.
However, prior hotel/travel industry experience preferred.


 

Grooming:

           


All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).

Standing, bending, stooping, and lifting weights up to and including 25 lbs. may be required. The lodging business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
