Job Description
This position ensures a courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service consistent with standards, policies, and procedures to maximize guest satisfaction. Prepares and cooks food and maintains cost control while leading and motivating the commis chefs and supporting chef de parties in the daily kitchen operations.

 

To display a friendly, helpful, and cheerful attitude while communicating effectively with our guests and colleagues to support Miral’s strategy and values.
To always represent and promote Miral  positively to maintain a professional brand image for all concerned stakeholders
To help achieve departmental and company objectives, action plans, and key performance indicators.
To enforce and adhere to all UAE laws, health, safety, and environmental policies, as well as industry and company rules and regulations, reporting any safety concerns or incidents to management to minimize risk and maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for all guests and colleagues.
adhere to all emergency procedures, ensure guest safety, and participate in an evacuation if necessary.
To be responsible for preparing, portioning, and garnishing foods to ensure that methods of cooking and garnishing and sizes of portions are as prescribed.
Assume responsibility for the section, replacing Chef de Partie during his absence.
To receive and examine foodstuffs supplies required for the menu
To perform all the tasks and duties assigned by the Chef de Partie
To report any product overconsumption to monitor spoilage and waste
Ensure that the place of work and surrounding area are kept clean to keep them organized at all times

Job Requirements

Higher Secondary education or equivalent
Professional kitchen apprenticeship or chefs training course and previous experiences in quality establishments, along with good culinary skills
Minimum 2 years’ experience in the same role in a five-star hotel or similar
Ability to learn quickly and can work under pressure.
Ability to work well with others as a team member and be able to spend long hours standing if required.
A clear understanding of both written and spoken English
Efficient team player and good attention to detail
Ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues and management.
Self-motivated, wants to get the job done, and has flexibility.
