Job Description

• Responsible for welcoming the guests, in a professional friendly and genuine manner in the lobby. Acknowledge all guests as they enter the hotel.
• Ensure that the lobby is clean and organize at all times. Assist guests and patrons by escorting them throughout the hotel.
• Escort the guests to the receptions area or to the lounge area and introduce guests by name when applicable.
• To ensure that all guest queries and requests are attended to in a helpful, professional yet warm and friendly manner.
• Responsible for the ongoing communication of pertinent information using the logbook provided to other shifts.
• To maintain and be aware of the importance of guest recognition.
• To assist and carry out other duties as required and directed.
• Responsible and ensure for the timely safety and careful delivery and collection of guest luggage and belongings to and from Guest Rooms, cars and Reception,insure safety
• To acquire, through training provided, a complete knowledge of all policies and procedures.
• To ensure at all times that personal presentation is immaculate, your uniform or work clothes are in line with relevant Front Office, and Hotel uniform and clothing codes.
• To ensure that you are completely aware of the complete range of services and facilities available in the hotel (including the operation hours of the different outlets).
• Being able to inform the guests on the daily events in the banqueting areas.
• To ensure on a daily basis that you are fully aware of all arrivals to the Hotel, and in particular, VIP and return guests.
• Provides general information to customers and guests in a good and helpful manner.
• Identify ways of increasing the hotel’s overall profitability within the section.
• To understand, be supportive, encourage and help all colleagues as required from time to time.
• To be ready and responsible when assigned to perform in an emergency or difficult situation as required by Management from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Foreigners only.
• Be well groomed and conform to the hotel's dress code and deportment.
• Be informed about daily operations and events.
• Be highly visible in public area during peak time.
• Be familiar with sales strategies; communicate daily with reservation sales.
• Know all frequent customers and is familiar with their special requests. Ensure that their needs are met.
• Be familiar with cultural differences and know correct behavior for each culture. Also know the different protocols and etiquette.
• Be knowledgeable about all emergencies plans and know how to act upon them.
• Report any unusual occurrences immediately to the front office manager
• At all times strive to represent Marriott in the most professional and courteous manner.
