Concierge/Concierge Supervisor

JOB ROLE

As a concierge, you are responsible for welcoming the guests at the entrance and arranging bellboy to assist the guests’ baggage/luggage. Monitor the lobby area, and the main entrance area up to the roundabout and ensure it is kept clean, neat, and tidy at all times.

As a concierge supervisor, you will oversee the operations of a concierge desk in the hotel. You will also manage a concierge team, but also interact directly with customers to answer their questions, provide information about local attractions, and offer reservation services.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


To be efficient and professional in dealing with situations involving any aspects of the Concierge section and where the reputation and image of the Armed Forces Officers Club are represented.
Ensure that bellboys are following their responsibilities of counting baggage/luggage, loading correctly, and taking it in elevators only.
To check whether bellboys ensure that baggage/luggage is properly placed on the trolley and the luggage rack in the guest room.
Follow up whether bellboys fulfil their responsibility of showing the guests amenities placed in the room including TV, Mini Bar, curtain and information of Quran, prayer mat, etc.
Check with the concerned department whether Bellboy distributes mail messages promptly and as per the required standards.
Responsible to keep the Concierge baggage room neat and clean at all times.
Implement standard on courtesy calls and follow upon departure date and time.
Meet and escort guests as and when required.
Responsible for the Concierge to ensure that a bellboy is scheduled at all times and is seen throughout the shift.
Ensure the general office, business lounge, and meeting room environments are clean and functional
To oversee the concierge operations, doormen, and bellmen, to supervise the area ensuring that all standards and procedures are fully known and followed.
To ensure that all necessary equipment is maintained properly with sufficient stock for day-to-day operations.
To ensure that all sections have proper coverage of staff at all times.
Stay current and up to date with all hotel services as well as daily VIP requests and special events.
Ensure orderliness and safety guidelines around the lobby and front door areas.
Provide support to Management as required, in cases of emergency.
Project a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and Guest service.
Handles guest complaints and solve the problem to the degree possible

JOB REQUIREMENTS



Minimum 2 years experience in the same position in a 5-star Hotel Chain
Pleasing and presentable.
With basic knowledge in concierge operation.
Secondary school Certificate
Experience in supervising a team
Experience in working in a multi-tasking environment
Able to communicate on all levels, excellent customer care skills
Excellent communication skills in English – oral and written
