 Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors.  Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.  Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary.  Conducting market research to keep abreast of emerging trends and business opportunities.  Inspecting stock and reporting any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately.  Updating and maintaining records of all orders, payments, and received stock.  Coordinating with the delivery team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled.  Establishing professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers.  Arrange air ticket for employees as per HR department request.  Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested using comparison sheet; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives.  Prepares Local Purchase Orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department.  Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.  Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.  Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.  Gather and compile new supplier’s data information and update list of approved suppliers.
