What to expect?

Hilton Rotterdam has 8 meeting rooms that are capable to host more than 1000 people in total! As a Events Waiter at Hilton Rotterdam, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests enjoy a perfect meeting or event. From setting up the meeting rooms exactly as requested, to arranging any coffee breaks, group lunches/dinners that take place in our meeting spaces. This function entails quite some physical work, since chairs and tables are usually moved to prepare for the next meeting setup. So be prepared to roll up your sleeves and make a lot of steps!

What does your day as Events Waiter look like?

In general, your hands will either be occupied with moving chairs and tables, holding a tray to take used coffee cups and lunch/dinner plates, or reading ‘banquet event orders’ to inform yourself about the details for the next event. You will play a crucial role in maintaining Hilton’s high standards of service. Your responsibilities will include:

Setting up meeting rooms
Explaining audio- and visual equipment to our guests
Give service during coffee breaks, lunches, and dinners
Cleaning up meeting spaces
Ensuring satisfaction with a keen eye and a ready smile 

Who are you?

You are a true team-player with an extensive hands-on mentality. In this highly international environment, you understand the importance of communication and your English skills are well developed. The following describes you:

Available parttime, at least 2 days per week
Availability to work flexible hours at any part of the day, including weekends and holidays
Being able to work shifts that start early in the morning or end late in the evening
Strong communication skills. We mostly communicate in English, followed by Dutch. The more languages you speak, the better!
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
Ready to make around 20.000 steps per day and do some table- and chair fitness!
