Position Statement
The Learning & Development Executive coordinates and manages the implementation of hotel trainings in line with brand and hotel policies and procedures. This role assists the Learning & Development Manager to maintain training resources, implement systems that promote growth and development, ensuring that all promises to stake holders are delivered. He/ she assists the Director of Human Resources and Learning & Development Manager in creating an effective and efficient operation for the Training department.
What will you be doing?
As the Learning & Development Executive, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Support in the preparation and planning of the Learning & Development department’s goals and objectives.
Ensure learning and development programs meet hotel objectives.
Plan and facilitate new hire orientation.
Organize and coordinate cross trainings, in-house and external programmes.
Assist to maintain training and talent management policies.
Support in the analysis of learning data and implementation of training strategies.
Deal effectively with team members at workplace from a variety of cultures.
Offer support and advice on personal development plans to team members.
Participate and execute recruitment activities in schools, colleges, and universities and communicate with trainees and render support during their internship period.
Update the training calendar with all relevant information and provide support to all departmental trainers with their training where necessary.
Well-verse in Hilton’s learning management system and its resources available to provide strong support and guidance to users.
Assist in the implementation of recognition programs.
What are we looking for?
An individual who is proactive, confident, engaging and strong in building relationships with internal customers with the addition of the following requirements:
Diploma or relevant qualification. Discipline in Hospitality studies is preferred.
Minimum 2 years of related working experience in the hotel industry.
Have experience in Learning & Development or similar function.
Good communication skills.
Good presentation skills and stand up training experience.
Excellent coordination and organization ability.
Good project management skills.
Willing to take up challenges and work under pressure.
