Job Description
As a Risk Manager you will be responsible for managing overall safety and risk management processes and security for our hotel to deliver a safe Guest and Member experience. As a Risk Manager, you will also be required to carry out full investigations and audit the hotel to ensure health, hygiene and fire life safety compliance.
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Manage overall health and safety, food safety, fire safety and security of the hotel.
Demonstrate an understanding and an awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety (FLS).
Implement safety risk management practices in line with the company's health, hygiene and fire life safety policy.
Audit the hotel to confirm Health and Safety/Food Hygiene compliance
Train Health and Safety / Food Safety issues to managers, supervisors and colleagues
Liaise with outside contractors and sales colleagues on matters of Health and Safety and food safety
Assist in monitoring contractors and enforcing Health and Safety standards as required
Carry out food poisoning investigations, writing to manufactures as required and analysing Hazard Analysis information
Liaise with engineering department to test fire and sprinkler systems and ensure they are on track with fire detection/prevention measures
Monitor and document results following safety audits
Monitor and interpret microbiological results from food sampling of all hotel kitchens and advise accordingly
To be well aware of Fire evacuation plan.
Carry out fire training every six months basis and provide records of attendance
Tutor basic food hygiene courses for relevant hotel colleagues
Working with the FLS Committee in planning, implementing and reviewing FLS procedures to ensure all necessary reporting is completed in a timely manner.
Working with the FLS committee in identifying and establishing audit procedures in the hotel to ensure compliance with FLS Policies, Brand and Operating Standards, Guidelines and local regulations and local regulations.
Supervises the identifying of hazardous workplace conditions.
Directs and coordinates the activities security personnel.
Ensures that all hotel areas and property are adequately secured at all times.
Coordinates with outside police agencies in the investigation and handling of crimes, accidents, etc.
Prepares daily incident reports, requisitions, and other inter department memos.
Ensures that all allegations of the crimes and other incidents are investigated and recorded.
Established comprehensive key controls.
