• Provides training (including safety training) and conducts meetings with all housekeeping personals as directed by the management.
• Supervises or assists Executive Housekeeper in directing the work activities of Housekeeping staff.
• Distributes the keys and work assignments to staff.
• Control all inventories; order guest and room supplies.
• Control timing in room; control expenses.
• Assigns special projects to staff and supervisors.
• Assists Executive Housekeeper in the selection of Housekeeping personnel, training, team members disputes, administering disciplinary procedures and up to terminating employees.
• Work with Executive Housekeeper of admin and inventory to manage daily room inventory, track housekeeping employees and prioritize daily load.
• Make purchase orders; communicates between departments on any issues affecting guest.
• Clerical work such as responding to e-mails in a timely manner.
• Ensure that the payroll is done and in a timely manner.
• Ensure adherence to company quality standards by inspecting rooms, including deep cleaning according to Marriott standards.
• Supervises Housekeeping staff.
• Discipline , reward and develop employees as necessary.
• Other duties assigned by executive housekeeper and general manager.
• Keep and Maintaining lost and found records in an efficient manner and handles all calls regarding lost and found.
• Assists in interviewing all prospective employees to ensure proper staffing levels are met.
• Ensure proper scheduling of all shifts for proper coverage according to occupancy.
• Maintain high morals, sense of professionalism in all staff.
• Coach, monitor develop team members for improved performance.
• Ensure efficient communication including coaching and performance management.
• Provide staffing, training, counseling and performance reviews for housekeeping department.
• Develop relationships and communicate efficiently with all departments especially with housekeeping department, laundry, warehouse and property mangers.
