Key responsibilities
Front Office Management Trainee
- Help deliver tailored guest service at the Front Desk, Concierge and Guest Service Centre.
- Support guest check-ins, check-outs, currency exchange, room allocation and enquiries.
- Provide concierge assistance, recommendations and transport arrangements, handling requests efficiently.
- Support Executive Lounge operations and uphold high service standards.
Food & Beverage Management Trainee
- Follow the procedures, policies and techniques of service.
- Build a full understanding of menu preparations for effective salesmanship.
- Coordinate the work of the team and maintain established procedures.
- Recommend menu items and beverages where appropriate.
- Communicate efficiently with the kitchen.
- Help prepare staff training programs.
- Promote a positive working atmosphere and strong team relations.
- Uphold staff appearance standards and punctuality.
- Greet guests, handle comments and problems, and promote sales toward revenue targets.
- Talk with guests to build relationships and add a personal touch.
- Requisition supplies to keep stock at the right level.
- Cover the assistant restaurant manager's duties when needed.
- Carry out any other duties as required by the restaurant manager.
Requirements
- Fluent English, with exceptional communication skills for international guests.
- At least 3 months of experience in hospitality or customer service.
- Adventurous and open-minded, ready to spend six months in China and embrace a new culture.
- Professional and detail-oriented, able to deliver service to Waldorf Astoria standards.
