About the program
As a Front Office Management Trainee, you will gain valuable, hands-on experience across key Front Office operations, working directly with international guests and under the mentorship of seasoned hospitality leaders. The program prepares you for a management career in luxury hospitality, combining real-world practice with leadership development.
Key responsibilities
Front Office Management Trainee
- Maintain accurate guest information within the system.
- Register and room all arrivals according to established hotel procedures.
- Handle guest complaints, enquiries and requests, escalating to supervisors when needed.
- Lead management-practice projects, including service quality, cost control and budgeting.
- Provide highly personalised, attentive service to guests.
- Learn the basics of the hotel's Property Management System (PMS) and front office operations.
- Work across Front Office sub-departments, including the Concierge and Executive Lounge.
- Keep excellent personal presentation and uphold InterContinental's standards of service.
- Build strong relationships with guests and colleagues and foster a welcoming environment.
Food & Beverage Management Trainee
- Deliver effective service by greeting and seating guests.
- Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Support management-practice projects, including service quality, cost control and budgeting.
Requirements
- Fluent English, with excellent communication skills for international guests.
- At least 3 months of experience in hospitality or customer service.
- Professional and service-oriented, committed to luxury service and attention to detail.
- Adaptable and open-minded, ready to embrace a dynamic, multicultural environment.
- Motivated to grow into a future management position within IHG Hotels & Resorts.
