The traineeship

About the program

As a Front Office Management Trainee at Crowne Plaza Beijing Chaoyang U-Town, you will gain hands-on experience in the Front Office department, with a special focus on Executive Lounge service and guest experience. This position is designed for young hospitality professionals who want to build a strong foundation in luxury business hotel operations, guest communication and future management development. You will support daily Front Office and Executive Lounge operations while learning how the team delivers professional, efficient and personalized service to domestic and international guests. You will also observe how supervisors and department leaders organize daily tasks, maintain service standards, support team members and solve operational challenges. Throughout the program, you will develop practical Management Trainee skills such as guest handling, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, operational awareness, service consistency and basic leadership support.

What you will do

Key responsibilities

Front Office Management Trainee

  • Support daily Front Office and Executive Lounge operations in line with Crowne Plaza and IHG service standards.
  • Welcome and assist guests in a warm, professional and confident manner.
  • Provide attentive guest service based on the hotel brand service behavior standards.
  • Assist with guest arrivals, check-ins, check-outs, inquiries and service requests.
  • Support Executive Lounge service, including guest reception, lounge assistance, guest communication and service follow-up.
  • Follow hotel standard operating procedures and learn how SOPs support service consistency and operational efficiency.
  • Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, restaurants, meeting spaces, transportation, nearby attractions and local services.
  • Communicate clearly with guests, supervisors, Front Office colleagues, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and other hotel departments.
  • Support smooth coordination between departments to ensure guest needs are handled quickly and professionally.
  • Assist supervisors and department heads with daily operational tasks, team coordination and basic training support when needed.
  • Observe and learn how Front Office leaders organize shifts, manage guest flow, handle service issues and maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Help identify guest needs and provide thoughtful, timely service during their stay.
  • Handle guest questions and basic concerns with patience, professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Participate in orientation and daily departmental training to improve hotel knowledge, service skills and operational understanding.
  • Maintain a polished professional appearance and follow hotel grooming, uniform and service standards.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the department head or management team.
